Rock Climbing In The Peak District
Share
Co-curricular Trip

Rock Climbing Club visited Windgather Crag on the hills above Kettleshulme in the Peak District on Friday evening. It was the girls first experience of climbing outside on natural rock. They loved it and said how much they enjoyed climbing on real rocks as well as within the beautiful environment. They also all said how much nicer it was on their skin (yes, really!).

The girls were fantastic and adapted to the environment really well. They applied the techniques learned indoors into a very different and much more subtle style of climbing. Everyone showed real tenacity in getting up a variety of challenging climbs and were a credit to themselves and the school.

Everyone is keen to get out again, so Mr Reti is planning a bouldering trip in the Peak District for our next venture outside!
