Reception joined Brookview Care home for their weekly catch up yesterday, where they played games in the sun, sang songs and ate ice cream with the residents.
The benefits for both our students and residents are enormous. For our girls, it helps their communication skills with people of all ages, and their confidence as they are building great relationships with each other.
We spoke to the residents and they told us that they really look forward to our Prep girls visiting them on a weekly basis and it is the highlight of their week, one resident said ‘They take me back to my youth and really help me turn the clock back’ while another told us, ‘they are absolutely super, and a reminder of my youth!’
