Last Day Of School For Upper Sixth

Sixth Form Announcement

Today we said farewell to our wonderful Year 13 who stand down for their study leave and their exams today.

The year group enjoyed a special breakfast with staff and their parents as well as a tear jerking assembly with wonderful memories shared. They even congaed their way out of school onto new adventures.

Acting Head of Sixth Form, Miss McConville finished the assembly with some wisdom and advice, saying:

Life will surprise you.

Perhaps your best friend is in the room right now and you both know that already. Perhaps your best friend is here and yet neither of you has any idea. Be open to the possibility of change. In the world, in others, in yourself. Aspirations and plans are great, but if they do not make you happy when you get there, then change your life, change your mind.

Her final snippets of wisdom came from Jane Austin, who knew the importance of changing your mind when it is the right  thing for you. She says: “Know your own happiness.”

Good luck Upper Sixth!
