The Moon Comes To Alderley Edge

Prep School Science

While for many people, this week has just been an ordinary week before we break up for half term, apart from Legally Blonde of course, behind the scenes there has been huge excitement in the Science Department as on Monday we received actual rocks samples from the Moon!

Every year group in the school from Reception through to Year 11 have taken part in lessons about the Moon, space landing, conspiracy theories surrounding the moon landings and learning about the difference of the surface of the moon compared to Earth. Did you know that there is no wind on the moon and with the surface being like the texture of flour, footprints can still be seen on the moon today?
