The pupils first talked about the impact our food has on the environment, the steps we have taken within School to help reduce this, including the ‘Meat Free Monday’ in our Hub every week to tackle our greenhouse gases.
Our second theme is based on sustainability within clothing and fast fashion. Our School has transformed our PreLoved Uniform Shop to help with this issue. The final theme was around energy and the importance this global issue has on the environment. In school the students have put up signs on light switches to ensure lights and projectors are only on when needed.
This was a great first introduction to our new Eco Team and one which will continue to grow to enable our school to become more sustainable.
