This week, several girls from both the Senior School and Prep School walked to the Methodist Church in Alderley Edge to give a performance to the local community. There was a lovely breadth of genres including classical music as well songs from the musicals and instrumentals.
Following the concert, it was lovely to receive this message of thanks from one of the audience members:
I have been to many concerts and shows from childhood starting with St Winifred’s School Choir and, today singing in Natural Voice Networks and the St Anne’s Hospice Choir and I have rarely heard such careful, considered and, heartfelt delivery.
The girls are a credit to the school, and your teaching, they moved me to tears, not once but three times – music has got me through many difficult times in my life and, your concert today was, as the lady who was introducing had said, very healing.
