Pupils in Year 7 have combined skills from both Geography and English to produce a cross-curricular poem called Dear Earth. The poems, which will be entered into the GSA Association Creative Writing competition saw the girls combining lessons, skills and topics to produce a thought provoking poem.
Women writers have always illuminated their experience of the natural world through travelogues, diaries, memoir and poetry; creating a diverse landscape for readers to experience the world though the female lens. We are honouring this tradition by giving the girls a voice and entering them into this annual writing competition.
We would like to congratulate Arsh, Millie and Naomi for their wonderful poems, which were judged as ‘Best In School’.
